Hey, my name is Jake John owner of Jake’s Solar Cleaners. I am 26 years old and have lived locally in Chino Hills for all of my life. I decided to start my business in 2023 after driving around the city, and noticing how many homes had dirty solar panels. I went home did some research and found that dirty panels can reduce their efficiency to up to 25%. I knew then that this was a great business opportunity. With the help, and inspiration of my father Steve John, who has owned Steve John’s Painting for more than 20 years, I founded Jake’s Solar Cleaners.

Solar panels should be cleaned every 1-3 months in dusty or dry areas, every 6-12 months in rainy climates, and as needed if near dirt sources like trees or industrial areas. Monitor energy output for drops that may indicate dirt buildup.
-
We never use any harsh cleaning chemicals on the solar panels. We use de-ionized water and clean with brushes to make sure your warranty is safe and the panels are clean!

YES! Dirty solar panels block sunlight, reducing the amount of energy they can absorb and convert into electricity, which lowers their overall efficiency.
